GIANT-KILLERS CHAVES AND ROSS COUNTY LOST FINAL

Reaching the final game was a well deserved award for both Ross County (Scottish 1st Division)and Chaves (Portuguese 2nd Liga).

Unfortunatelly, Dundee Utd and FC Porto were too strong for our "Giant-Killer" European awards' nominees.

GIANT-KILLERS REACH CUP FINALS

One week after swiss giant-killers, Lausanne-Sports, have faced Basel FC (a heavy loss at opponents stadium), two national cup finals will have the unique atmosphere of a lower division club against a first level team.

Scottish Ross County (against Dundee Utd) and portuguese side GD Chaves (FC Porto) will be doing the game of their lives. For most of Chaves players there's no other chance, after falling in 3rd tier division where they will play next season.

To both teams we just ask to leave all they have in the field and wish to all supporters a cheerful oportunity to celebrate. Do your best, and with God's help, bring that Cup home.

VOTE FOR THE EUROPEAN GIANT-KILLER OF THE YEAR

Giant-Killers.net, the first international website totally focused on giving voice to extraordinary achievements by lower-tier clubs, launches a survey open to all football enthusiasts to elect the "2010 European Giant-Killer of the Year".

Details about 2009-2010 season's career can be found at official website (www.giant-killers.net), with each team winning streaks and final stages' dramatic losses.

Ten countries are represented in this very first edition of "David Awards". The winner will be chosen after a jury considers this poll results and give their final evaluation, based on results, achievements and underdog-status criteria.
